Rope mussels can be distinguished by their cleanliness, the bluish lightly yellow shell colour, their delicate taste and their high meat content.

Native Flat Oysters
The Native Oyster is known as the European Flat Oyster and is native to Ireland. Its now a rare species which adds to making this a luxury product. Available from October to February.
Pacific Oysters (Gigas)
The Gigas (Crassostrea gigas), is an oval frilly-shelled Pacific oyster and is now the main species in Ireland – cultivated by about 200 enterprises in 11 coastal counties.
Common Wild Cockles
Cockles are found in the sandy bays and estuaries of Ireland which bury themselves in low tide. Their meat, delicate and tender, has a unique, fragrant flavour.
Collected all around our shores, slow moving and abundant Winkles have been gathered and consumed since pre-historical times.
